Together, these two decisions let a family share the same Hanwoo omakase evening without asking either the child or the neighbouring table to compromise.
What follows is a straightforward guide for parents planning that evening: what the Kids Course actually contains, which room to ask for, how to combine it with the adult courses, and the small details worth arranging the day before.
What is the Kids KUT Course?
A single plate of six dishes, priced at ₩45,000, designed for children aged 7 and under and served all at once rather than in sequence.
The format is deliberate. Rather than pacing a child through the same slow rhythm the adults are following, the Kids KUT arrives as one composed plate — Hanwoo meatballs, bulgogi, a small tomato pasta and other child-friendly items thoughtfully arranged together. A hungry child can begin the moment they sit down, and continue eating at their own pace while the adults move through their tasting.
This matters more than it sounds. At a Hanwoo omakase, the interval between courses is part of the design; for a small child, an unexplained gap between plates is simply a wait. Serving everything at once removes the wait entirely.
The ₩45,000 price sits well below any of the adult courses, which reflects both the simpler format and the honest fact that a young child eats less. It is a real children's course, not an adult course in a smaller portion.
Who is the Kids Course for — and from what age does the adult course apply?
The Kids KUT is for children aged 7 and under. From the age of eight onward, children order the same adult course as the rest of the party.
This age line is worth planning around. A eight-year-old at KUT SEOUL is treated as an adult guest for the purposes of ordering, which means the family chooses a single course tier — P KUT, S KUT or R KUT — that everyone at the table shares. Parents of children close to the cutoff sometimes ask whether a six-year-old and a eight-year-old can each order the Kids Course; the rule is applied by age, and only the younger child qualifies.
For children under three, the restaurant does not offer a formal course. Families in that situation are best served by contacting KUT SEOUL the day before through the reservation notes to discuss what is workable.
Why children under eight are seated in private rooms
Guests under eight are always seated in the private rooms, never at the eight-seat counter. This is a firm policy, and once you understand the layout it makes sense.
The counter at KUT SEOUL is a working chef's counter — eight seats along a single bar, where the pacing of the omakase is choreographed with the guests directly in front of the chef. It is a quiet, focused space by design. A child of four or five, however well-behaved, is not the audience that seat is written for.
The private rooms, by contrast, are enclosed spaces. Behind a closed door, a family sets its own volume and its own tempo. If a toddler needs a break or a parent needs to step out for a moment, none of it reaches the next table, because there is no next table.

Which adult course should parents choose?
Because children under eight are seated only in rooms, and rooms have their own course rules, this narrows the adult choice cleanly. The relevant courses for a family are P KUT, S KUT and R KUT.

A quiet weekday lunch with a young child is often the most comfortable choice — the P KUT is available in the rooms at that slot, at eleven courses. For weekends, or for any dinner visit, the room minimum starts at the S KUT (thirteen courses at ₩210,000). The R KUT adds live lobster sashimi with caviar and gold flake, and lobster gratin, alongside the fifteen-dish progression; it is a considered choice for a family celebration where the older members of the party want the full expression of the menu.
One practical note on timing. A full private-room meal at KUT SEOUL runs about three hours. With a small child in the party, an earlier seating tends to work better than a late one — a 17:30 or 18:00 start on a dinner visit gives the family a natural finish before the child's usual bedtime, and keeps the pace unhurried. Later dinner seatings sit closer to the 22:00 close and leave less room to breathe.

How do you book, and what should you tell the restaurant in advance?

When you book, the reservation notes field is where the family-specific details go. Two things are worth mentioning the day before:
First, the number and ages of the children in the party. This lets the kitchen prepare the Kids KUT plate for the right number of children, and lets the floor team pre-arrange a highchair or a booster seat if it is needed. Ages also confirm which children qualify for the Kids Course and which will order from the adult menu.
Second, any allergies or foods to avoid. Allergies notified the day before are accommodated within the course; last-minute notice at the table is harder to work around cleanly, because the kitchen is already prepared.
If the visit is a birthday or another small family celebration, KUT SEOUL will letter a dessert plate with a short message at no charge, and there is no cake fee if you bring a cake from outside. Practical details for arriving with children
鍾路96 ハノルタワー3階 — 鍾路3街駅（1・3・5号線）15番出口または鍾閣駅（1号線）4番出口から徒歩3分、タプコル公園のすぐ隣、景福宮からは徒歩20〜25分。
The building is 3F, Hanol Tower, at 96 Jongno. The front entrance passes through the Tom N Toms café on the ground floor and takes an elevator to the third floor — this route is step-free and stroller-friendly, which is the one to use with small children or a pram. The rear entrance on the valet side has three steps.
Valet parking is available Wednesday through Monday, 11:30–22:00, from the booth behind the Tom N Toms building, for a ₩5,000 fee. For families driving in from another neighbourhood with a car seat to manage, the valet is often the easiest option.

BMS No. 9 韓牛を4週間真空（ウェット）熟成 — ドライエイジングではありません。等級は3/2/1/1+/1++で、2019年12月以降1++は霜降り7〜9を含み、数値が表示されます。KUTはNo. 9のみ。
The same beef reaches the Kids KUT plate — the meatballs and bulgogi on that plate are made from the house Hanwoo, prepared in forms that suit a child's palate. It is not a separate, lesser product; it is the same kitchen, adjusted in composition.
